Our 5 favorite toys for preschool speech therapy ~ anytime of year!
1. Pop the Pig - this guy makes an appearance in my sessions every few weeks! It's an easy game to use as a reinforcer after turn taking but its also an easy game to use for working on requesting, describing, multisyllabic words, and more!
2. Reusable Sticker Sets - These sets are ALWAYS a hit with my preschoolers. We have a variety of sticker sets available at My Speech Shop - & I use them all! My favorites to pull out are the Habitats sticker set and the My Town sticker set! Want to have even more fun? Combine the sticker sets to make silly pictures! Put some dinosaurs on the playground or some jungle animals in the house!
3. Counting Surprise Party - It's always fun to have a random birthday party in speech therapy! These presents are great for working on requesting, describing, demonstrating actions, and even grammar goals! Bring "friends" or animals to the party and talk about who gets each toy! I pull this toy out for informal language samples for my shyest kids ~ it always gets them talking!
4. Feed the Monster Toy - This monster LOVES eating everything! Bring him out at the end of any themed lesson - he will help you clean up your mini objects and pictures!
5. Sorting Surprise Picnic Baskets - like the counting surprise party toy, these "surprise" toys are always good to bring out - even in the winter! Talk about how the foods are the same/different, quality descriptors, or throw in some non-food minis to be silly!
As always, when you buy from My Speech Shop, you get a FREE speech therapy companion with artic/language targets, extra activities, and more!
